Terms of Trading

Should any items ordered no longer be available from the Company's suppliers, the Company shall not be held in anyway liable.

Unless otherwise agreed by the Company in writing, time is not of the essence in contracts. Any anticipated delivery dates are given in good faith and the Company shall not be held liable if they are exceeded.

The Company regrets that it cannot accept cancellation of items ordered specially or already cut but the Company.

Unless an order is paid in full at the time of ordering the Company reserve the right to charge prices ruling at date of delivery. This right will only be exercised in exceptional circumstances, e.g. Change in VAT rate or a substantial change in the value of Sterling which results in the Company being surcharged.

Risk of goods is transferred with delivery but the equitable and beneficial interest remains with the company until the goods are paid for in full.

The Company expects its customers to accept delivery of their goods within a reasonable period from notification of their availability. Goods which are held for any considerable period of time by the Company must be paid for in full and a storage charge paid.

Customers should ensure any items ordered will fit the intended location and delivery can be safely made to that location. Delivery service is offered on condition that the items ordered will fit through all necessary doorways. If any doors or windows need to be removed that will be the responsibility of the customer. Cancellation of an order in these circumstances will not be accepted. Nothing in these terms is intended to restrict customers' legal rights.

Settlement terms. 25% deposit on acceptance of order balance on or before delivery.

 

Terms of Trading

of SIMPLY INTERIORS by J Ltd (referred to as “the Company”)

1. On placing an order, a minimum payment of 50% of the order value is required. Some orders may require full payment in advance. No items will be ordered until payment is cleared. Balance is payable immediately on notification that an order is available for fitting, delivery or collection.

Payment methods: Bank transfer, Visa, Mastercard.

2. Once an order has been placed, it cannot normally be modified or cancelled. Customers accept responsibility for the accuracy of information supplied in relation to their order. If modifications take place to a room after survey, customers are responsible for any additional costs that may result.

3. Should any item ordered not be available from the Company’s suppliers, the Company shall not be in any way liable.

4. Time is not of the essence in our contracts. Any anticipated dates are given in good faith and the Company should not be held liable if they are exceeded.

5. The company requests that customers agree arrangements for completion of their orders within a reasonable time of notification of availability, at a time convenient to the company. If goods are held for any considerable period of time, they must be paid for in full and an additional storage charge paid.

Nothing in these terms is intended to restrict customers’ legal rights.


Delivery

It is extremely important to us that from the time you choose your furniture to the day that you take delivery everything goes as smoothly as possible.

Stoneman and Bowker delivery team are trained to appreciate the high quality of the furniture you have purchased, and the work of the master craftsmen who make it. As a result, they are extremely careful in their handling of your furniture at every step of the delivery process.  Their goal is to make sure that you are a satisfied customer on delivery day.

Free Delivery

We Deliver Free to most areas including East Devon North Devon and as far as Cornwall this is subject to the order value being over £300.00 and other orders being delivered in the same area on the same day. Your estimated delivery time will be provided at the point of sale, but will depend on current stock levels and whether the item is being made to order – for example if you have ordered a sofa or bed upholstered in your choice of colour and fabric. The estimated delivery time is in working weeks and is not Guaranteed.

Delivery day

Once your goods have arrived, a member of our office staff will get in contact to arrange your delivery.

On the delivery day, our Delivery Team will:

  • Install your furniture exactly where you would like it in your room of choice
  • Remove (and recycle) all the packaging
  • Remove and dispose of your old furniture on a like for like basis*
  • Make sure that everything is exactly as you want it.

*Disposal of existing furniture.

For a small additional charge our delivery Team can uplift and dispose of items on a 'like for like' basis. For example, if we deliver your new bed, we can dispose of your old bed at the same time.
